Registered Charity No. 26342.

THE CHARITY shall be known as The London and Home Counties Festivals of Male Voice Praise (“LFMVP”).

THE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES of the LFMVP is to proclaim the Gospel, promote fellowship among Christian men and share in Praise and Testimony to the Lord Jesus Christ as the only Saviour. To further these aims and objectives the LFMVP shall:

(a) Organise Festivals of Male Voice Gospel Singing.
(b) Foster the formation and growth of Gospel Male Voice Choirs.
(c) Provide fellowship for Male Voice Gospel Choirs.
(d) Foster and develop contacts with Gospel Male Voice Choirs in other areas in the  British Isles and Overseas.
(e) Administer the finances of the LFMVP.

LFMVP’S DOCTRINAL BASIS is that as Christians its membership accepts the revelation of the triune God given in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament (“The Bible”) and confess the historic faith of the Gospel therein set forth. We hold to doctrines which we regard as crucial to the understanding of the Christian faith, and which result in mutual love, practical Christian services and evangelical concern. We believe in:-

(i) The sovereignty and grace of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit in creation, revelation, redemption and final judgement.
(ii) The divine inspiration of the Bible and its consequent entire trustworthiness and supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
(iii) The universal sinfulness and guiltiness of the human race, making man the subject of God’s wrath and condemnation.
(iv) The substitutionary sacrifice of the incarnate Son of God as the sole and all sufficient ground of redemption from guilt and the power of sin and from its eternal consequences.
(v) The justification of the sinner solely by the Grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ crucified, risen from the dead and ascended into Heaven.
(vi) The illuminating, regenerating, indwelling and sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit of God.
(vii) The Priesthood of all believers, who form the universal church, the body of which Christ is Head, committed by His command to proclaim the Gospel throughout the world.
(viii) The expectation of the personal, visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ in power and glory.

MEMBERSHIP OF THE LFMVP shall be open to Gospel Male Voice Choirs who are in full agreement with the Doctrinal Basis, above. They shall be elected to membership by the LFMVP Committee. Application for membership shall be made in writing to any Officer of the LFMVP, who will bring any application received to the next Committee meeting for consideration. The decision of the Committee is final. Choirs elected to membership (“affiliated choirs”) may be represented at all General Meetings of the LFMVP by recognised Leaders, Choir Secretaries and any choir members.

THE COMMITTEE is responsible for the general administration  and business management of the LFMVP and shall consist of twelve members. Each member shall serve for a maximum three year period. Retiring members may offer themselves for re-election. On a rotational basis, four members shall be elected or re-elected by Annual General Meeting each year.
